I can't say enough good about Gina and her music school. My three kids all LOVE it and have been thriving. We have had her help us find a great deal on a grand piano with her piano finding service and it was a fantastic experience and she got us an amazing deal on a piano. THEN . . . wait for it . . . she has magically helped my kids love to play it! They have been progressing and we enjoy the musical sounds in our home. I could go on and on, but i'll try to be be brief by saying that she teaches each of my children differently and very customized to their personality and it is fun to watch. It's not a cookie cutter program where everyone does the same things. She is also good at finding that right balance between rigid perfectionism and complete chaos that both produce anxiety in the student. Instead, she helps establish self-forgiveness and playfulness in learning how to learn. A teacher should teach a student how to learn, and that's just what she does. Nuestros hijos empezaron el programa de piano de Mrs. Barton con zero experiencia. Al poco tiempo no solamente entendían lo básico, sino que también podían leer y reconocer las notas en la clave y en el piano, a tener postura de manos correcta y poder tocar algunas canciones. Our children started Mrs. Barton's program with zero piano experience. Soon after, they were not only familiar with the basics, but were able to read and recognize the notes in the clef and on the piano, have the correct hand posture, and play some songs. The book exercises and the recommended iPad applications that she provides make the daily piano practice, and home reinforcement easier and appealing for the kids. Mrs. Barton makes her classes fun and personalized to the individual needs of the child.

Ms. Barton is the best piano teacher I have ever had. She has taught me how to make my piano pieces come alive. My wife, and my 7 and 9-year-old and I have been taking classes together. My kids started a little more than 2 years ago without any prior lessons and they have loved playing piano since day 1. She has been so patient with them and has given them so much encouragement. With her experience, her teaching method, combined with technology (piano apps) she uses to aid the children in their practice and learning, their progress has been tremendous. Learning and practicing have become a FUN thing to do every day. In addition to performing at recitals, my children are performing at parties the pieces they have loved and memorized. In just 2 short years, Ms. Barton has already helped them develop so much confidence and skill. 

The technology she uses including overhead camera and video chat through FaceTime and WeChat in teaching remote students make it possible for anyone who wants to take lessons from her to do so even from thousands of miles away. And if a student is under the weather or is not able to attend the lesson face to face, this alternative method of instructions makes it possible not to miss a lesson. With the recent challenges from the COVID-19, the technology she uses makes it possible for us to continue with our weekly lessons. My daughter has had an excellent experience being taught by Gina Barton.  Gina understands the foundation that the "Let's Play Music Program gave my child prior to starting private piano lessons.  She has built on that foundation and has quickly identified any gaps my child had.

Gina does not just use one curriculum for each child.  She customizes the lesson material to each individual.

I am especially grateful for how she has worked with my child's attention deficit disorder and the unique challenges that ADD adds to learning an instrument.

Gina makes learning music fun.  She encourages apps on the iPad, and she really focuses on note reading, and sight reading.  I have found note reading is a gap in the Let's Play Music Program and Gina understands that and helps  fill in the gaps.

She also uses lots of modalities to teach the same concept which is beneficial for the different learning styles.
